Welcome to the Mile High City!
Traveling around Denver can be a breeze, but make sure to plan your trip ahead. Denver International Airport (DIA) is located roughly 30 miles from downtown Denver. Once you get to your hotel, or wherever your final destination may be, please note the methods in which to move about our beautiful city.
Travel from DIA to downtown Denver
Take the train! The RTD A Line travels between the west end of DIA and Union Station located in downtown Denver. The fare is $9.25 one-way and make sure to hold on to that ticket! It can be used as a day pass for any additional method of transportation on RTD for the whole day. The train takes about 35 minutes, and once you arrive at Union Station, you can hop on the free mall ride down to your hotel, or it would be a quick taxi/lyft/uber ride (less than a mile).
You can also catch a cab from DIA to any downtown destination for roughly $55. Uber/Lyft will set you back around $35 depending on the time of day/availability.
Shuttles area also available on the Denver Super Shuttle.
Getting Around Denver
Denver is surprisingly walkable for a bigger city, but if walking isn’t your thing, there are many close and easy transportation options. The 16th St. mall shuttle is free, and can take you from one side of downtown to the other. The closest stop is 2 blocks from the hotel. Use Denver’s bike sharing system known as B-cycle. There are stations located throughout the area, with the closest being right in front of the hotel. There is a daily rental fee of $8, and bikes can be utilized for ½ an hour at a time without incurring additional fees. Ubers/lyfts/Cabs/pedi-cabs are all also available pretty much 24/7 for your additional transportation needs.
Travel to The History Colorado Museum
We recommend accessing History Colorado Museum for the banquet by these 3 options. You can walk to the museum from your hotel in about 15-20 minutes. You can also take the free 16th mall ride, heading east and exit at 16th and Broadway. From here, the museum is 2 blocks away. Or, you can always hail a taxi/lyft/uber right outside the hotel.
